Philosophy or Rock Music!
Shakespeare, Socrates, Aristotle, Confucius – yes they are the great philosophers in the history of the universe. Yet, there’s another group who are just as powerful – rock musicians!
On the way to my office this morning, I listened to Freddy Mercury and Queen sing their 1970s hit song “Don’t Stop Me Now”, and it dramatically and drastically changed my mood from slow Monday morning to go out and conquer the world! It was an amazing transformation as I listened to the same song for 20mins and practically ran from the subway station to the office!
Here’s a taste of the lyrics that shows the genius that is Freddy Mercury (who sadly passed away in 1991)
Tonight I’m gonna have myself a real good time
I feel alive and the world I’m turning inside out Yeah!
I’m floating around in ecstasy
So don’t stop me now don’t stop me
‘Cause I’m having a good time having a good time
I’m a shooting star leaping through the sky
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity
I’m a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva
I’m gonna go go go
There’s no stopping me
When you couple the wonderful imagery of the lyrics to the pounding beat of the song, you have absolutely no choice but to have the best day of your life (which is happening to me now!) Be warned – “Don’t Stop Me Now” is a dangerous song as it goes from first gear directly to supersonic and takes you with it!!

When you need a dose of inspiration shooting through your entire body – rock music rocks!!
Dream It . Live It
